800 People From Different Countries Iftar at IIUI
Solidarity With International Community Living in Pakistan
Global community has suffered from covid19 in multiple ways. World is trying to come to terms with this pandemic and working out on ways to design a future living. Rapid spread of covid19 across boarders brought the decision of stopping the travel of all types. This was thought to be a short term plan however that did not happen.
Among all others, there were millions of students across the world who got stuck in the countries where they were studying. Similar was the case for the students at International Islamic University Islamabad. More than 700 international students could not fly back to their homes despite of the discontinued study calendar. More over, month of Ramadan came which is usually the time for students to go back to their homes to enjoy the month of fasting along with the biggest festivity of Eid at the month end. Year 2020 brought a Ramadan which was no where in plans at the start of the year. Muslims from all over the world come to International Islamic University Islamabad to pursue their higher education. This year, they all ended up getting stuck due to the lock down.
BBACF decided to host a grand Iftar for all international students along with the staff of IIUI managing these students during lock down. Maintaining all social distancing and other standard operating procedures, the founding members of BBACF hosted the grand iftar.
Grand iftar dinner for all international students was one one of the best gestures to show the unity held by Muslims. The hospitality of Pakistanis was witnessed by the international community.
